    Merino Lifetime Productivity (MLP) Project

Click here for nomination forms & further information

The Merino Lifetime Productivity (MLP) Project is a partnership between AWI and AMSEA (sire evaluation) which aims to better understand the factors that influence the lifetime productivity of the Merino.

We are currently seeking sire nominations from industry to take part in this important project.   The project will operate at four standard sire evaluation sites with 90 ewes inseminated and all F1 ewe progeny retained for annual joining, classing and lifetime assessment.

Entrants at these sites will receive a full range of results; extensive professional classer assessed performance and within site breeding values as well as ASBVs.

I have attached further information about the project and the sire nomination forms.  We hope that you might forward this to your members.  Nominations will close 5pm October 28th, 2016.

    Sincerely,

Anne Ramsay – MLP Project Manager
