    Dear Exhibitor,

Dubbo National Merino Ram Sale and Exhibition 2020. At a meeting on 2nd June 2020, the committee of Dubbo National Ram Sale Assoc. made the firm decision to proceed with a Merino Ram Sale and Exhibition, in a new condensed, two-day format. This will be one of the only live Stud Ram multi-vendor auctions in Australia in 2020.

Observing strict Covid 19 risk management plans, declarations and social distancing, the Exhibition and Sale will run from Tuesday 25th August – Wednesday 26th August. The Live auction (interfaced with Auctions Plus) is to be held on Wednesday 26th August. There will be NO sheep show held in conjunction with this event due to the Covid 19 risk management rules.
The two day event format will be a Merino Stud ram display and pre-sale inspection on Day 1 and a Merino Stud ram display, pre-sale inspection and afternoon Ram sale on

If you wish to sell at our multi-vendor sale – please ensure you contact your testing delegate as soon as possible to arrange for mid side sampling. ALL sampling MUST be completed and samples sent to the AWTA by the end of June. Tests taken for Hamilton Sheepvention and Bendigo online auctions are allowed. We have extended this time frame already and no late tests will be accepted.

Stud sites are listed as double or single sites. Please note a single site can have no more than 12 sheep exhibited and a double site, no more than 24 sheep on the site. Stud site numbers will be limited due to the amount of interest and social distancing guidelines – we will allocate stud sites on a first in basis

At this stage we do not require FULL payment, however to hold a Stud Static site, we will require a $100 deposit. The outstanding amount will be invoiced at a later date. Please include your bank details on the entry form, to allow for any refunds, should the risk or further development of Covid – 19, force cancellation.

At this stage until State borders are open and we can further investigate the ability of interstate studs to travel with sheep (as an essential service) We are currently seeking submissions of expressions of interest from interstate studs .Completion of these forms will allow us to further work on inclusion of interstate studs and provide us with numbers to include in further submissions to the Dubbo Regional Council. We will make allowances for interstate states to be included in the Sale catalogue and stud displays.

We ask that you return your Sale ram information and site forms as soon as possible. I am sure you can understand the measures required to ensure this event can run smoothly and safely in the current environment. We anticipate a large number of Sale rams and Stud displays and will naturally be limited by social distancing rules. We will operate on a first in basis.

Thank you for your patience and we look forward to welcoming you to Dubbo for what will be an exciting and vibrant, new look format and layout.

    Kind regards
